Chemically, oil mist is a type of aerosol formed when coolant/lubricant oil used in machining of metal and plastic components vaporizes in work environment. Vaporization from storage or swarf containers also creates oil mist. SFS oil mist filters come with a variety of attachments such as pre-filters, after filters, mounting stands and monitoring systems.

Timken's shopfloor breathes clean air with SFS solutions!
When Timken shifted a critical production line for bearings to India, the machines were placed in an fully air conditioned shop. The shop included specialized machining processes using water based emulsions such as grinding, superfine machining, finishing operations in bearing manufacturing. Typically, even the best mist filters can clean 99% of the air, but particles with less than 0.3 microns and slight odor still pass through the filter. Air conditioned shops, such as Timken's, re-circulate the clean air and thus need very high quality of clean air.
SFS's team of experts studied existing plant layout, to create most efficient layout for the filtration system including ducting. A key challenge in procurement was strict budgets. SFS's team prepared detail life-cycle cost analysis and convinced Timken's team on the economic benefits of A.mist over a period of time.
Taking care of Maruti’s environment, across shops
Absolent’s centralized A.mist systems supplied by SFS have been effectively filtering the mist generated by machining clusters across various units in Maruti Suzuki’s manufacturing plant. SFS has also been providing regular maintenance service, spares and filter support to Maruti's team.
