Concrete dust collection made easy!
Siporex India Pvt Ltd is a subsidiary of sweedish company that manufactures light weight, autoclaved, cellular reinforced floor and roof slabs, wall panels, lintels and unreinforced blocks both for load bearing and partition walls. While Siporex's manufacturing unit already had a conventional, venturi based dust filtration system, it was highly ineffective in filtering the dust due to multiple reasons. In spite of the existing system, a tractor trolley load of dust accumulated in the plant every day.
SFS's team focused on the 3Cs which are critical to dust collector's performance - confining the dust, its capture and cleaning. From the very first day of operation, SFS's centralised dust collector captured all the dust to deliver a significant difference in the factory environment. The ducts had no longer to be cleaned and the system could capture all the dust for reuse.
Dust free shop-floor!
Fine metal dust was a by-product on the shop-floor at the machining shop with over 40+ heavy machining centers. The dust not just posed a challenge to the operations, but could adversely affect the health of the workers. The company's management along with SFS's team sprung into action to develop a centralised Dust collector that could effectively filter the heavy and fine machining dust from a cluster of machines on the shop-floor.
The result was experienced in the form of dust free operations, from the very first day of installations. The Centralised dust collector was placed outside the shop-floor premises and thus caused minimal disturbance to the regular production/operations.
