HOW IT WORKS?

ESPs are highly effective in filtering smoke. The working principle involves ionization of air by applying high voltage to collect the fine soot or dust and oil particles in the smoke and thus filter the air. The plates used in ESPs can be easily washed and cleaned for reuse.

Economical air filtration with customised ESPs
Tata Motors is of India's largest Automotive manufacturer with multiple plants. The company was using ESPs from SFS for various filtration applications. However, a unique request came SFS's way for providing a filtration solution for multiple smoke generating units with strict space and budget constraints. SFS's team visited the site, studied the process and decided to design a customised, centralised unit of ESP to serve the requirement. It was a challenging task, as Tata's plant maintenance team had never thought of a centralised solution using electrostatic filtration principle.
SFS's team conducted several in-depth discussions with the team at Tata to prove the benefits of a centralised system, its approach and advantages, especially low maintenance. The Centralised ESP is delivering excellent filtration performance for Tata's plant for several years and has proven beneficial in more ways than initially thought.
