HOW IT WORKS?

Four Stage Filtration

The Contaminated air from machining enclosure is extracted by a suction blower and effectively cleaned through four-stage filtration. Efficient mechanical separation of mist is achieved by media filters.

Why Mist Filters?

Zero dust on critical machining line
As a part of its expansion plan Cooper was setting-up machining line for engine parts manufacturing for exports to Europe and the USA. The large scale dry machining processes for cast iron parts created huge amounts of fine dust. The internal maintenance team was finding it challenging to keep the shop-floor clean by manual de-dusting. SFS's team studied the characteristics and dust generated at each of the machines on the line, detail plant layout and process variations to the last possible detail.
SFS's suggested a centralized system collected which conveyed the dry machining dust from each machining center to the cyclone. The filter bags in the cyclone filtered the dust to release the clean air back to the environment. Cooper's team continues to experience totally dust free operations and environment with very little scheduled maintenance of the dust collector.
Clean air, even in manufacturing engines!
While Maruti was making headway in developing cleaner engines for its cars, the manufacturing of these engines itself involved a clean air challenge. The dust generated in machining of the engines was adversely affecting the productivity and in-house air quality at Maruti's plant. SFS suggested a Dust Collector for Maruti to reduce the menace of machining dust.
After evaluating the success and filtration performance of SFS dust collectors, Maruti extended the solution to other applications in the plant. From Dust Collectors in pattern making shop to centralized dust collectors in high-end machining shop, today, SFS’s solutions are used across all the lines in Maruti’s manufacturing facility.
