MIST

FILTRATION

Mist is a dispersion of liquid in gases, particularly in air. Formed during nebulisation of liquid, during condensation from the vapor phase and during chemical processes.
Why Mist Filtration?
THE HIDDEN MENACE
Chemically, Oil mist is a type of aerosol when coolant/lubricant oil used in machining of metal and plastic components vaporizes in work environment. Vaporization from storage or swarf containers also creates oil mist. Oil mist particle range from 0.1 micron to 100 microns and are hazardous when inhaled in large quantities or for prolonged duration of time.
Mist may not be visible but directly affects the operator and machine health.
Mist has a tendency to settle on the shop-floor and results in slippery surface and floor. Mist also accumulates dust and adversely affects hygiene, equipment performance.
